On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the AUREL Proving Ground transformed into the epicentre of electromobility. Arval hosted its Arval Electromobility Day – a dynamic, hands-on event packed with innovations, test drives, and discussions about the future of transportation.
The topic of the day was electromobility in all its forms. And because Arval is a recognised expert in this field, they invited their clients and partners to experience firsthand what others only talk about.
19 brands, 55 vehicles, and over 300 test drives
Attendees had a unique opportunity not only to explore, but to actually drive a wide range of electric vehicles. A total of 55 electric and plug-in hybrid models from 19 different brands were available. Over the course of the day, more than 300 test drives took place, giving participants a chance to form their own opinions on various technologies and models.
A program that both entertained and informed
The AUREL Proving Ground provided the perfect setting for a diverse, experience-packed program. The participants were definitely not bored. The AUREL team organised a range of unconventional activities. Even the local police from Mimoň joined the fun by clocking drivers’ speeds. Attendees had the chance to try out challenges such as:
- precision driving,
- high-speed oval track,
- blindfolded driving,
- speed estimation.
As part of these activities, participants had the chance to personally experience challenges such as driving on a 65% inclined slope, navigating through a water canal, and tackling various specialised surfaces designed for demanding testing. The proving ground offers a unique environment not only for testing technologies, vehicles, and components, but also for special corporate events and teambuilding activities.
The driving experiences were intense – and competitive, too. Top performances were recognised with awards, so there was no shortage of motivation to give it their all.
Technology, emotions, and sharing experiences
In addition to the test drives, visitors enjoyed a demonstration run of an eFormula and a variety of partner-led side activities. There was strong interest in the guided tour of the proving ground, led by Zdeněk Svoboda, Head of the Proving Ground, and Pavel Křivský, Head of Sales. Their deep knowledge of the site allowed them to answer every question and share fascinating insights down to the smallest detail.
The entire day happened in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, complete with a generous buffet featuring grilled meats and premium refreshments. There was also plenty of room for networking—experts from Arval and invited guests exchanged insights on electric vehicles, market trends, and personal experiences with operating electric vehicles.
