It\u2019s finally here. After years of dedicated work, we\u2019ve completed the first private testing proving ground in the Czech Republic\u2014open not only to vehicle manufacturers, but also to universities, research institutions, emergency services, and companies seeking unique testing or event opportunities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Milestone Celebration<\/strong><\/h3>\n

April 18, 2025 \u2013 A Day to Remember<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The grand inauguration of the AUREL Proving Ground marked the largest investment in AUREL\u2019s history. We were honored by the personal attendance of the President of the Czech Republic, Mr. Petr Pavel, whose presence underscored the national significance of our project. His confirmation just two weeks in advance sparked both nervous energy and pride across our team. A special thanks goes to our colleagues in B\u0159ehyn\u011b, led by Zden\u011bk Svoboda, and to our external partner, Bells Seven, for their outstanding work in branding the site in record time.<\/p>\n

A Presidential Test Drive<\/strong><\/h3>\n

D-Day arrived. The President arrived shortly before 10 a.m. and was warmly welcomed. We introduced him to the Colegium Holding Group, AUREL\u2019s mission, and key guests from \u0160koda Auto, the city of Doksy, and our team. We shared the story behind the polygon\u2019s development, highlighting the city of Doksy\u2019s crucial support in making this innovation center a reality.<\/p>\n

It was a real ride<\/h3>\n

Then came the moment everyone anticipated: the President got behind the wheel. He drove several \u0160koda vehicles on our uphill track, including the 65% gradient climb\u2014both in 4\u00d74 and 4\u00d72 configurations. It was clear from the start: the President knows how to drive.<\/p>\n

At the summit, our proving ground director, Mr. Svoboda, presented the layout and purpose of each testing section. We also tackled the water channel with a \u0160koda Enyaq RS. The first pass was cautious\u2014but the second sent a bow wave higher than we\u2019d ever seen!<\/p>\n

Handling, Slalom & Drifting<\/h3>\n

Adrenaline Meets Precision<\/h3>\n

To add a thrill, we organized timed slalom runs and showcased the new dynamic area and oval for advanced handling. The President truly enjoyed the experience, spending a considerable time behind the wheel.\u00a0And then came the drift zone. Mr. Svoboda took the lead as instructor, but the President\u2019s driving quickly surpassed expectations\u2014and even the teacher, on his first try!<\/p>\n

A Memorable Inauguration<\/h3>\n

At the end of the visit, the President inaugurated the commemorative stone at the water channel\u2014an unforgettable moment. He even joined a test jump as a passenger. The second leap, faster and higher, left quite the impression.\u00a0We concluded with a demonstration of our ADAS test platform, sparking a stimulating discussion with the President about the future of autonomous mobility.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the Day<\/h3>\n

Shared Lunch, Shared Vision<\/h3>\n

During lunch, many guests had the chance to speak directly with the President in a relaxed setting. He expressed his admiration for the polygon and AUREL\u2019s achievements, emphasizing the importance of such innovation being driven by a Czech company. We are proud of what we\u2019ve built\u2014and this day validated it.<\/p>\n

A Special Thanks<\/h3>\n

What made this visit even more meaningful? The President attended in his personal time, as his official calendar wouldn\u2019t allow for a formal visit until the end of his term. We deeply appreciate his effort and interest.<\/p>\n
